Steve: Steve is a senior Shire who loves to be pampered and canter along the beach. The 30-year-old gelding was surrendered to us by an elderly male who could no longer care for Steve. We rarely come across a horse that was not in an abusive situation. We want to make sure Steve’s next transition is his final.
Moonlight: Moonlight is our resident greeter at Amethyst Falls. When you arrive, she’ll meet you at the gate, leading you to where our staff are waiting for you.. Moonlight was our first-ever rescue. She is a beautiful lady with a white bald face, with black and white splashes of color on her coat. She loves strawberries– If you feed her one, she will be your best friend.
Carpet: Carpet was rescued from a horse meat auction. Due to his arthritis, he is not rideable. In addition, Carpet requires someone patient and gentle. This dark bay Thoroughbred is still learning to release fear and open his heart to trust and love again. Will you show him the way?
Mini – Mini is a special needs mini donkey who was born with dwarfism. This small but mighty gal wants someone to love and cuddle her. Because of her condition, she is best suited for a family with older kids. She is litter box trained and will gently nudge your foot when she’s hungry. Can you open your home to this tiny but powerful mini?
